Made out of 100% handspun wool, these rugs are often naturally dyed with vegteables and other elements from the environments in which they were born. The details and motifs lend to stories and traditions specific to the region the rug was woven in, and there’s always much more than meets the eye. Made from 100% sheep wool, this vintage Beni Ourain rug was handwoven in the middle Atlas mountains of Morocco approximately 70 years ago. The rug features a low, slightly worn pile and natural warm cream colour with camel brown lines. There is fringe at one end of the rug - note there is some minor fraying at the near end of the rug (non fringe end).
